Tidak Disangka, Desain Gaun Elegan Ini Terbuat Beras & Potongan Sushi

KREATIVITAS seorang desainer dibuktikan lewat karyanya. Seperti tidak kehabisan ide, karya-karya yang berupa busana dibuat dengan tampilan yang selalu berbeda dari sebelumnya.

Seperti desainer pemilik akun @edgar_artis, dia berhasil membuat beragam desain busana perempuan dengan cara yang tidak biasa. Bagaimana tidak, saat sebagian besar desainer memilih mewarnai rancangan gaunnya menggunakan pewarna yang umum, seperti cat air, crayon, atau pensil warna, Edgar menemukan cara lain.

Ditinjau Okezone, Rabu (3/10/2018), dari akun Instagramnya, Edgar menggunakan makanan sebagai warna pada busana rancangannya. Ada banyak makanan yang dia gunakan, seperti beras, buah blueberry, kismis, dan masih banyak yang lainnya.

Tampilan gaun yang dirancang pun terlihat sangat unik dan berbeda. Penasaran seperti apa bentuknya? Berikut potret kreativitas gaun yang dirancang Edgar.

1. Gaun beras

Diberi judul "My white spirit", Edgar membuat rancangan gaun berwarna putih ini dengan menggunakan beras berbutir kecil. Rancangan gaun yang indah ini pun tersaji bersamaan dengan keterangan foto yang menginspirasi tentang pentingnya mencintai diri sendiri.

When you learn to love yourself you don’t care about others opinions. You don’t need others approval on your beauty. Don’t wait for someone to encourage you. Always remember that you are strong and you can do anything and no one can stop or break your motivation. Some people like to see you lose your confidence because that makes them feel better about themselves and it makes them more confident, it’s just because they are stupid and they worth nothing.. 2. Long dress sleeves less kismis

Karya rancangan selanjutnya Edgar buat dari butiran kismis yang berwarna cokelat. Gaun panjang tanpa lengan ini diberi judul Wrinkles of Life. Dalam unggahannya Edgar menuliskan agar kita sebagai manusia memanfaatkan waktu selagi masih muda.

Fall in love! Go crazy! Be happy! Laugh as hard as you can! Life is very short! All those raisins inspired and scared me at the same time, cause they reminded me of wrinkles... each of them represent one experience = one memory. They will turn into wrinkled happy memories that will put smile on our faces when we are old. I am very scared of getting old, i feel like I don’t have enough time to fulfill my huge dreams. 3. Ballgown sushi lady

Terbuat dari susunan sushi, gaun tanpa lengan ini begitu cantik dengan warna-warna kelam, seperti jingga dan hitam. Sementara warna putih dihadirkan dari butiran beras.

The Sushi Lady Photo by @t_epic_world So many people asked me to post this and tell the story behind it. Ok i will tell you the true story. This was a project made for a restaurant to be as a menu cover. We worked so many hours on it trying to capture the perfect photo and trying to make it great but the director rejected this illustration, he didn’t like it and I considered this as a failure. But i decided to post it because you know it happens especially in fashion and show business, you get rejected a lot but it doesn’t mean you are a failure and it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue. When you fail you should continue even harder i guess that’s a key to a success. You should never feel bad about yourself if you fail that’s your experience that will make you even greater....

4. Blueberry buble dress

Gaun imut yang bentuknya unik ini dibuat tidak sengaja oleh Edgar. Setelah pergi ke toko kelontong untuk membeli blueberry, dia baru sadar belum memiliki desain gaun yang terbuat dari blueberry.

Blueberry bubble dress Dress made with blueberries.. Honestly i have drawn this illustration 3 days ago but I didn’t know what to make it with, i was stuck. Yesterday i went to grocery store to buy blueberries for me to eat and when i came home I realized that I didn’t have an illustration made of blueberries 😄. I am so happy that i can draw this illustrations again!! I missed them,, I’m glad i have whole summer for that.

5. Gaun apel balerina hitam

Edgar tidak hanya mengunggah gambar rancangan gaunnya. Namun, dia juga selalu menyertakan kisah pada keterangannya. Seperti pada desain gaun apel balerina ini, yang ternyata permintaan dari seorang perempuan berkulit hitam yang ditolak oleh sebuah sekolah balet karena warna kulitnya.

“Dancing against all” One of my all time favorites. A while ago I received a message from a girl who asked me to draw more black ballerinas, and the reason shocked me to be honest. Her dream is to be a ballerina but she can’t because she is black. The ballet school in her city doesn’t accept dark skin girls. I was shocked and very sad to read that. When will this end? When will people understand that we all are the same no matter what, we all are equal. Heartbreaking reality, i guess i need to draw more women of color, i’m ready to work hard and change the world to the better and You?
